New restaurant alert! Villa Del Rey opens Spring Hill location in Mobile
Happy Friday, Alabama! Looking for some good news to kickstart your Labor Day weekend? Well, what can be better than a restaurant opening? Legacy Village at Spring Hill has a new restaurant, Villa Del Rey.
We went ahead and checked it out for you on opening night, and it’s a can’t-miss!
About Villa Del Rey
Villa del Rey is Spring Hill’s newest Mexican restaurant full of great atmosphere, friendly staff, and (of course) amazing food!
There’s another Villa Del Rey in Mobile, off of Schillinger Road. Christian Perez, our server and a manager for the Spring Hill location, told us that the second location was inspired by the customers over on Schillinger.
Most of our customers drove from Spring Hill over to Schillinger to visit us. After a while we decided to open one on this side of town too. Our move to Spring Hill proves that reaching out works.

We’ve scoped out their amazing menu for you, and have a few recommendations!
There’s a few menu items exclusive to the Du Rhu Dr. location, like the Molcajete, an ornate bowl full of grilled meats, shrimp, queso fresco, grilled onions, and more. It was more than enough food for the two of us, making it an awesome share-plate.
There’s also birrias tacos, the french-dip sandwich of tacos, which are so good they were sold out by the time we got there! And how can we mention Villa Del Rey without talking about the Sangria Margarita? Yes, you heard us right, a sangria margarita made with fresh fruit prepared daily.
You seriously don’t want to miss out on this great new restaurant!
