Cypress Row is coming to the former Struts on Pine location

Struts on Pine, a downtown Florence eatery with a sports bar atmosphere, recently shut down. Matthew Cox, a Florence local, was the general manager before its closing, and he’s also the one giving new life to the space.

Around COVID, Matthew met Hallie Wallis, a native of Florence. Since everything was closed down, they spent a lot of their free time floating down the Cypress Creek.

And that’s the inspiration behind Cypress Row, Matthew and Hallie’s new restaurant taking the place of Struts on Pine.

Cypress Row will be a casual eatery with a full bar, and Matthew said it’s going to be very family-friendly. With many kids themselves, Matthew and Hallie want to provide the community with a spot the whole family can enjoy.

On the menu, you’ll find classic, comforting dishes like:

• Fried green tomatoes
• Pimento cheese
• Meatloaf
• Sandwiches + salads
• Seasonal cobblers
