New Space Command HQ releases first look at Huntsville facility

During a recent relocation update with Huntsville-Madison County civic leaders in Washington, DC, Space Command’s Gen. Stephen Whiting shared a conceptual rendering of the command’s future permanent headquarters at Redstone Arsenal.

While just a preliminary rendering of the facility, the revealing of the renderings comes during an active time for SPACECOMM announcements, as Whiting gave an update just a few weeks ago on the groundbreaking for the new facility and the opening of a temporary facility.

The conceptual rendering of the new headquarters is based on a planned 427,000-square-foot facility located on a 64-acre site at Redstone Arsenal, designed to house close to 1,500 employees.
