New Steak ‘n Shake coming to Northport

“A blast from the past.”
That’s how the latest Northport development was described in a video posted to social media earlier this week.
A new Steak ‘n Shake location is on its way to the city, through a partnership from local business leaders Tyler Hearing and Ric Mayers. Hearing posted an announcement video to Facebook which included a rendering of the new location.
“A new development. A new adventure. Excited to officially announce that Steak ’n Shake is coming soon to Northport! We can’t wait to bring this iconic American brand to our community. Stay tuned… the best is yet to come.”

Where will Steak ‘n Shake be located in Northport?
There isn’t an official address for the newest Steak ‘n Shake location but according to the social media video, the restaurant will be just off Lurleen B. Wallace Boulevard near the Black Warrior River.
The restaurant will be at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and 5th Street, just inside the Northport city limits.
It is expected to open in 2027.
Steak ‘n Shake locations in Alabama
The restaurant’s total locations in our state have been dwindling in recent years with less than a handful currently open across Alabama.
The Northport location is expected to be the fifth to be in operation in 2027.
