Just in time for the Yellawood 500 at the Talladega Superspeedway next weekend, the grand opening of the Talladega Regional Visitors Center will occur on Thursday, October 9, 5:30PM at the Historic Ritz Theater.

Located at 116 Court Square East, the Visitors Center has been 2 years in the making.

“The center will help stimulate economic growth, create job opportunities and elevate the quality of life throughout the region.

The new center includes the following amenities:

Information about 50 local attractions
32-inch televisions displaying images of the county’s top 15 attractions
Space for presentations and events.

According to Warwick, the Visitors Center was made possible by the Alabama Power Foundation, the Talladega County Commission, Alabama Historic Preservation Commission, Representative Steve Hurst, Senator Lance Bell, the Education Trust Fund Grant, and many others.
