Tuscaloosa’s Strip is getting a serious glow-up this August with the arrival of Two Dimes Club, a brand-new bar and live music venue set to raise the bar on local nightlife.

Located in the former Druid City Music Hall space, Two Dimes promises to deliver “Legendary Good Nights” with its broadway-style bar, renovated event space and stacked lineup of live entertainment.

“[Two Dimes] is all about filling a gap the city’s had for years—a place where mid-size touring acts can finally play and people can throw unforgettable private events.”

History

The historic venue has entertained Tuscaloosa locals for generations, evolving from a neighborhood bowling alley to Tide Twin Theaters, then into music hotspots like The Varsity, The Jupiter, The Bama Beach Club and Druid City Music Hall.

Over the years, the space became known for unforgettable moments—like Kenny Chesney’s intimate performance during its Jupiter era—that cemented its reputation as a cornerstone of Tuscaloosa’s entertainment scene.

Two Dimes plans to carry that tradition forward with a fresh vision. The fully reimagined venue will host a mix of live music, game day takeovers, VIP experiences and private events such as corporate banquets and holiday parties.

“We’ve always believed in the energy and potential of the Strip, and acquiring the former Druid City Music Hall was an opportunity to breathe new life into a space with so much history.”

With its rich history, new look and big plans, Two Dimes Club aims to give Tuscaloosa even more reasons to spend their nights on the Strip—and to make every one of them unforgettable.
