Georgia-based carpet manufacturing company, Mohawk Industries, is headed to sweet home Eastern Alabama. As the largest carpet manufacturer in the world, Mohawk is expanding into yarn production—the first step in the carpet-making process. Their new facility will be in Roanoke, Alabama, and will create 130 new Alabama jobs, totaling 300 staff in the Roanoke location.
