Georgia-based carpet manufacturing company, Mohawk Industries, is headed to sweet home Eastern Alabama. As the largest carpet manufacturer in the world, Mohawk is expanding into yarn production—the first step in the carpet-making process. Their new facility will be in Roanoke, Alabama, and will create 130 new Alabama jobs, totaling 300 staff in the Roanoke location.

As a Fortune 500 company, Mohawk is excited to continue to invest in its employees and their surrounding communities in Randolph county.

“I’m proud of our relationship with this community and proud that Mohawk has recognized that this is a great place to continue to invest our resources. We have a great team here already, and I look forward to welcoming new team members to our organization as we grow.”

Donald Hendrix, Plant Manager, Mohawk Industries
