NOW OPEN: Auburn’s first full wine bar, Cerulean at Midtown
You heard it here first––Auburn officially has a long-awaited full wine bar featuring bottles from around the world. Cerulean celebrated their grand opening on Friday, April 1 and the sophisticated spot has been all the buzz around town. Check it out.
Cerulean Tasting Room and Wine Shop
Cerulean is Auburn’s premiere tasting room and wine shop. If you’ve been looking for a new, sophisticated hangout spot, this one’s for you. Wine specialist Chris Kennedy serves as the bar’s Director of Operations. He teamed up with Torrey and Jordan (Whitley) Hall of Midtown’s favorite food truck, Sword and Skillet, to make this dream a reality.
Wine flights and more
Whether by the glass, bottle or flights, Cerulean serves up delicious wine from around the world. Choose from their list of unique flight options, including red, white, bubbly or mixed wine.
You can’t have wine without a charcuterie board, so Cerulean is curating delicious boards featuring cheese, fruit and an assortment of crackers. Sword and Skillet parks outside the bar, serving upscale coastal food to pair with your wine selection. Cerulean’s mimosa flights are hard to beat, so stop by on Sundays to join in on the fun.
Cerulean also has a flight, “Teddy’s Flight of the Tiger,” dedicated to Chris Kennedy’s grandfather. Proceeds from the flight go to Bruce Pearl’s AUTLIVE, Auburn Basketball’s fight against cancer. The wine bar hopes to be intertwined with the community through their support.
Our top picks
Out of all the delicious wines we tasted from France, South Africa and more, we had to narrow it down to our favorites.
Our top flight pick: The “I Can’t Decide,” where the bartender picks their favorite red, white and bubbly for you to try.
Out top bottle pick: The Radley and Finch Alley Pack Chenin Blanc from South Africa.
