In a press release, Guthrie’s owner and CEO Joe Kelly Guthrie expressed his excitement for the new location.

Chicken with a legacy
Founded in 1965, the first Guthrie’s restaurant opened in Haleyville, Alabama. They launched their first chicken fingers in 1982, establishing themselves as the original chicken finger restaurant. Guthrie’s now brings crispy, hot chicken to over 50 locations across the south.
The thriving franchise continues to grow with the opening of their second restaurant in Tuscaloosa. In addition to the new location, the first Guthrie’s in Tuscaloosa is located at 205 15th St.
