Downtown Opelika found itself with a ‘much-kneaded’ addition this past May, as Boulangerie Bakery celebrated its ribbon-cutting ceremony in a new location.

The woman-owned, French-themed bakery is one you’ll want to check out — whether it’s a walk-in order or for their catering.

Here’s a quick rundown:

  • Hours: Mon – Fri., 7AM-5PM | Sat. – Sun. 8AM – 3PM
  • Location: 107 South 9th Street, Opelika, AL 36801

When Boulangerie first opened its doors in January 2024, Downtown Auburn was treated to the aroma of their delectable pastries + coffee.

This past January, Boulangerie’s original location on North College Street closed, announcing its upcoming move to a new Opelika location. But not to worry — just three doors to the left of the bakery’s original location is The Cafe, opened by Boulangerie owner Jessica Rizzo.

The Cafe‘s menu is an expanded version, with brunch + lunch options having been added to the list alongside specialty coffee, martinis, tea, pastries + breads.

The Cafe:

  • Hours: Tues. – Fri., 8AM – 5PM | Sat. – Sun., 9AM – 3PM | Mon., only open for special order pickups
  • Location: 154 N College St, Auburn, AL 36830
