Hallie Clark, Berry
Hallie Clark is working toward becoming a professional cornhole player but she has never done any kind of cooking competition before this show. She said her friend sent her the application page and she filled it out for fun, not expecting to get the call.
The Berry resident said she has always enjoyed cooking and watched the MasterChef seasons while growing up but she never expected to be on the show.
“It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I was just trying to soak it up as much as I could. Looking back now, it was such an in the moment thing. It was so crazy, it was almost like a fever dream. I am so thankful it happened and I’m getting to watch it back, I don’t just have the memories to hold on to. It’s so wild, seeing myself on TV every week has completely blown my mind.”

Clark made her debut during the audition round, earning her apron to secure a spot in the top 20. During that episode, she made teriyaki lamb chops with steamed rice and stir fried vegetables.
The judges gave mixed reviews of the dish, especially the presentation. Aaron Sanchez said no to giving Hallie an apron but the other three judges sent her through with Gordon Ramsay saying she was teachable.
Clark has made it through the first two episodes of the show to make it to the top 18. She said she learned a lot about things like ingredient pairing and culinary terms during her time on the show.
“There’s definitely things I could have done differently but looking back at that moment, I did the best I could. Having more knowledge from having done the show and learning from Gordon and Joe and all of them. I definitely could have done some different things.”

Clark also said she loved being a part of the Generations season. She specifically mentioned bonding with Rebecka Evans and Warren Coleman of the Baby Boomers team.
“I’ve always adored the older generations. I love learning from my grandparents and great grandparents so seeing the Boomers, I adored every single one of them… it was really neat watching their perspectives and getting their feedback. I thoroughly enjoy it.”

Chris Musgrove, Mobile
Chris Musgrove is representing the southern part of the state and earned his apron for the top 20 by getting three yes votes from the panel of judges. His audition dish was a take on classic shrimp and grits with a blackberry sweet-and-sour sauce and plenty of gouda.
It was almost too rich for some of the judges but the flavors stood out enough to help Musgrove move on.
“When the judges taste my food, I want them to know that’s me on a plate… I’m going to win this for my family because I want them to know that anything you put your mind to, you can do.”
~ Chris Musgrove
