Party City closing all stores, including 11 in Alabama

Party City is reportedly closing all of its stores nationwide, including 11 locations in Alabama.

According to a report from CNN, the party supply retailer informed corporate employees on Friday that the company was going out of business after 40 years of operation.

The company declared bankruptcy in 2023 and was attempting to cut costs by closing more than 80 of its 800 nationwide locations. Ultimately, the retail giant was not able to overcome its financial challenges and will close all remaining locations by February of 2025.

Party City is the largest party supply store chain in the US and has 11 locations currently around the state of Alabama, including locations in Birmingham, Mobile, Huntsville, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, and Auburn.
