Looking for a unique place in Auburn to grab a cocktail and chat? Established in 2008 and located inside the Auburn Hotel, Piccolo 241 Jazz and Cocktails is Auburn’s only jazz lounge—a breakaway from the typical college bar scene.

Weekly jazz nights

Piccolo 241 is open seven days a week, three of which are jazz nights. While the jazz lounge hosts seasoned performers from the southeast on Fridays and Saturdays, Thursday nights are improv community nights.

“It’s really about developing young talent and community, so all individuals who want to pursue music—whatever instrument that is—have an opportunity to come on stage and just jam.”

While this small jazz lounge is right next to Arricia Cucina Italiana, the Auburn Hotel’s Italian restaurant, Piccolo 241’s menu is entirely its own. It includes eclectic small bites + an extensive wine list and selection of local and regional craft beers. We recommend trying their charcuterie dish + a berry hibiscus margarita.
