A popular year-round Mardi Gras shop in Mobile is opening a new location right in the middle of the city’s parade routes.

Pop’s Midtown has been offering Mardi Gras supplies and other seasonal gifts such as flowers and Christmas trees from its location on Airport Boulevard for years and plans to open a new location downtown on Dauphin Street.

The new location, which will be called Pop’s Downtown, will be located at 508 Dauphin St. next to the Insider Collective Eatery.

Owner Mandi Cameron told WKRG in Mobile that she plans to have the new location open by March 1, just in time for this year’s Mardi Gras festivities.

According to its website, Pop’s offers a variety of Mardi Gras-themed items from costume elements to small gifts perfect for tossing to bystanders from parade floats, balconies, or any other party location, including:

Moon Pies
toys and trinkets
costumes
masks
