For three decades, Classic on Noble has been a staple for the people of Calhoun County including spending more than two decades in the heart of downtown Anniston.

But the restaurant’s time will soon come to an end as last week, Classic on Noble announced it will be closing its doors for good at the end of 2025.

“After 30 wonderful years serving this community, we have decided it is time to retire and close the doors of Classic on Noble at the end of this year. It is hard to put into words what these years have meant to us. Classic on Noble has been our life’s work, and our hearts are filled with gratitude for everyone who has walked through our doors.”

Comments flooded social media over the weekend as the news spread with bittersweet reactions. Many people expressed excitement for the Mashburn’s retirement while also knowing how much the restaurant will be missed.

The upscale dining experience was highly rated by almost everyone who stepped through the doors. It currently has a 4.7-star rating on Google and a 4.3-star rating on Yelp.

The restaurant has also received national recognition from the Food Network.

“One of our greatest joys has been sharing life’s moments with you. From weddings and baby showers to anniversaries and reunions, we have watched families grow and generations come together around our tables. The laughter, stories and friendships we have shared will always stay with us.

“We would also like to thank all our employees, past and present. They have been like family, and their dedication, talent and care are what made Classic on Noble what it is. None of this would have been possible without their work, loyalty and passion for what we do.”

The Mashburns also went on to thank their daughter Crystal who has spent years working there, both in the restaurant and behind the scenes.

While the closure has already been announced, Classic on Noble will remain open through the holiday season.

We are not quite ready to say goodbye.

In the meantime, the restaurant will stick with its normal operation hours. Classic on Noble is open for lunch Sundays and Tuesday-Saturday + for dinner Thursday-Saturday.

An official closing date will be announced at a later time.
