Kilwins, a popular ice cream and chocolate shop has officially opened its doors in Guntersville, near City Harbor. Kilwins has a total of three locations in Alabama: Hoover, Orange Beach and now Guntersville. The sweet shop offers heritage chocolates, original recipe chocolate and fudge.

Kilwin’s is the perfect place to grab a sweet treat. The best part? All of their ice cream and chocolates are authentically made from an original recipe from 1947. The Kilwins story begins in Petoskey, Michigan with Don and Katy Kilwins’s desire to make the highest quality chocolate.

Fast forward to today and the same techniques to make their award-winning chocolate and ice cream are still used today. The machines used date back to specific heating and cooling methods from 1965. Here’s a look at what they have to offer:
