Raising Cane’s opening third location in Alabama

The rumors are true!

Earlier this year, Bham Now reported that Raising Cane’s, a national fried chicken restaurant with a cult following, was potentially eyeing the Birmingham area for its next location. Today, that rumor was confirmed by representatives of the chain—Raising Cane’s will be opening its first Birmingham location on Highway 280.

Founded in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, they’ve built a cult following with a simple menu that does one thing really well: chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, slaw, Texas toast and their iconic Cane’s sauce.

The chain has more than 750 locations nationwide. Its upcoming Birmingham-area location will be the third in Alabama, with one location in Tuscaloosa and another in Mobile.
