Raising Cane’s is getting closer to open its first standalone location in Tuscaloosa and fourth overall location in the state.
The company announced it is opening a new restaurant on McFarland Boulevard near the University of Alabama campus. The grand opening is set for Monday, Aug. 24.
The newest location was first rumored in October when a billboard appeared in town, sparking some immediate excitement from the community.
Raising Cane’s expanding in Alabama
Just last year, the Raising Cane’s hype took over the Birmingham area when their first location opened on Highway 280. Another location is expected to open in Trussville at 1672 Gadsden Highway.
According to the Raising Cane’s website, the new Tuscaloosa restaurant will officially be the third location in our state. The other two in operation include:
- 5301 Hwy 280 Birmingham, AL 35242
- 3200 Airport Blvd Mobile, AL 36606
Tuscaloosa previously had the state’s first location when Raising Cane’s opened inside Paty Hall on the University of Alabama campus. That location is no longer listed on the Raising Cane’s website.
