Ringo Starr to make tour stop at Tuscaloosa Amphitheater

The Beatles were one of the few major bands to not make a stop in Tuscaloosa during the 1960s and 70s but one member of the famous group is set to make another stop in the city.
84-year-old Ringo Starr, the former drummer of The Beatles, will be playing the Tuscaloosa Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater again, returning for the first time since 2012. Here’s what you need to know:

Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band
Tuscaloosa is just one of 10 spots during Ringo Starr’s tour which will run from June 12 to June 25. The college town will be the penultimate stop for the band’s tour which includes:
- June 12: Bridgeport, CT – Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater
- June 13: New York City, NY – Radio City Music Hall
- June 15: Philadelphia, PA – TD Pavilion at The Mann
- June 17: Vienna VA – Wolf Trap
- June 18: Greensboro NC – Tanger Center
- June 20: Hollywood FL – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
- June 21: Clearwater FL – The BayCare Sound
- June 22: St Augustine FL – The St Augustine Amphitheater
- June 24: Tuscaloosa AL – Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater
- June 25: Charlotte NC – Ovens Auditorium
This is the second time Ringo Starr and his current band will visit Tuscaloosa. The last stop was July 3, 2012, a show that featured four covers of original songs by The Beatles along with several of Ringo Starr’s own music and other covers.
Tickets for the 2025 show will go on sale to the public Friday, Dec. 13.
