Rock the South postponed due to heavy rainfall across Alabama
Reading time: 2 minutes

Iconic music festival Rock the South has been postponed to October 1-4.
The festival was originally slated to take place this upcoming weekend, June 11-13, at The Fields at Decatur, but festival organizers determined that recent rainfall has deemed the grounds too wet to safely support the weekend. All tickets purchased for the original weekend will be honored.
Rock the South in Decatur postponed to October
According to festival organizers, recent weather conditions have made it impossible to safely host the event this weekend.
This month alone, Decatur has gotten an estimated 3+ inches of rain. That is unusual, especially so early in the month, and has created unsafe conditions at The Fields.
“The monumental amount of rain that has fallen at the event site gives us no choice but to postpone the festival.
We are thankful that the headliners are available for the new dates, and appreciate the patience and support of all involved as we look to put on a great Rock the South later this year.”

Although the weekend is postponed, the headliners will remain the same, and festival organizers are adding on an extra day!
North AL native Jessie Murph will also headline the weekend, expanding the festival to a four-day event—check it out:
- Thursday, October 1: Zach Top
- Friday, October 2: Jason Aldean
- Saturday, October 3: Jessie Murph
- Sunday, October 4: Riley Green
Most scheduled artists will still be performing in October, and Rock the South will announce the exact lineup in the coming weeks. Ticket holders can rest assured that their tickets + camping packages will be honored on the new dates, and the weekend will be expanded to 4 days at no additional cost.
