Rural King continues to expand in Alabama, set to open new Gadsden location

Just a few months after Rural King opened a new store in Saraland, the company will soon be bringing another location to Alabama.

The City of Gadsden took to social media this week to announce its first Rural King, marking the store’s seventh location across the state.

The new store will be located in the Gregerson’s Midtown Center, the former home of the Cash Saver grocery store.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for Gadsden. Not only are we bringing in one of the fastest-growing businesses in the Southeast, but it’s also a chance to bring new life to one of our major downtown shopping areas.”

According to the city of Gadsden, Rural King is finalizing the purchase of the property and will invest $12 million for renovations which will begin before the end of this year.

The new store is expected to bring 90 full-time jobs plus additional part-time positions.
