According to the Birmingham Business Journal, Salata Salad Kitchen has announced its plans for expansion in the state of Alabama.
Salata Salad Kitchen was started in Houston, Texas and has expanded to 42 locations across four states. They’ve identified 10 to 12 potential locations in the state of Alabama, including:
- Birmingham
- Huntsville
- Tuscaloosa
They also plan to expand to:
- Montgomery
- Mobile
Ultimately, they want to have 30 restaurant locations across the state.
Salata Salad Bar’s Menu
This build-your-own salad restaurant features wraps on its menu as well for those days when greens just won’t hit the spot.
Their wrap flavors include:
- Cool cucumber tortilla
- Multigrain croissant
- Southwestern tortilla
- Thai ginger tortilla
- Texas BBQ tortilla
- Whole wheat tortilla
They have over 50 fresh toppings and protein options that include:
- Krabmeat
- Pesto chicken
- Spicy chipotle chicken
- Salmon
- Shrimp
Salata even has refreshing drinks like:
- Organic Plum Cinnamon Tea
- Prickly Pear Limeade
- Peach Lemonade

The franchise has been scoping Alabama out for some years now. According to the Birmingham Business Journal, Salata Salad Kitchen is hoping to open the restaurant’s first location in Birmingham in early 2023.
