Sand Mountain Marketplace in Albertville among new million-dollar-plus building permits

This past week, 21 new building permits were issued across the state for construction projects exceeding $1 million. These included multiple permits for a shopping center project in Albertville.

Among the other permits included 11 projects in the Birmingham metro. Here’s more:

5 permits issued for Sand Mountain Marketplace in Albertville

Five building permits totaling more than $18 million were issued for Sand Mountain Marketplace, a new shopping center in Albertville.

The 250,000-square-foot property will be home to a new Target store as well as Academy Sports + Outdoors, HomeGoods and Burlington. Other stores will be announced later.

The center is expected to be completed in the spring of 2027.

Willow Capital Partners, an Atlanta-based commercial real estate firm, acquired the 30-plus-acre site in April. The Stewart Perry Corp. is listed as the lead contractor.
