Finals week at Auburn University is in full swing, and students are in for a real treat. Auburn alumna and Academy-Award winning actress, Octavia Spencer, is treating students to free meals to fuel their studies. Here’s what you need to know.
War Damn Finals Cram
Octavia Spencer is teaming up with Auburn Student Affairs to host War Damn Finals Cram. The event provides free meals to the student body each day from popular dining options on campus. Students had a blast kicking off the festivities on Sunday, December 5 with an opening feast at the brand-new dining hall, The Edge. Here’s where and when to find free meals:
- Monday, December 6 I 8-10PM I RBD Library, NYC Gyro Food Truck
- Tuesday, December 7 I 8-10PM I Tiger Transit Hub, Amsterdam Café Food Truck
- Wednesday, December 8 I 8-10PM I RBD Library, Philly Connection Food Truck
- Thursday, December 9 I 11AM-1PM I Haley Concourse, Amsterdam War Damn Taco Truck
A message from Octavia
The Montgomery native graduated from Auburn University in 1994 to become an actress, author and producer. She shot to stardom with her role in The Help (2011), and has won awards and starred in multiple admired films such as Hidden Figures (2016) and Ma (2019).
Trust me, coming from an Auburn student, War Damn Finals Cram has given the students something to talk about. It’s all the buzz on social media, and the student body is proud to be supported by such an esteemed alumni. Spencer took to social media to remember her time at Auburn and encourage the campus to finish strong.
What an amazing event to help students get a much-needed break as they close out the semester. Let’s finish strong, Auburn.
