Downtown Selma redevelopment
Main Street Alabama’s team will work with the Selma Main Street program to design future projects for the heart of the city.
There will be a focus on four key areas including:
- Organization: Building local support through leadership, membership + fundraising
- Design: Enhancing signage, streetscape, public spaces + other visual elements
- Promotion: Considering how downtown can be marketed as a center of commercial + social engagement
- Economic vitality: Identifying ways to strengthen + expand the district’s economic base
After the trip to Selma, the Main Street Resource Team will provide the local Main Street organization with a specific list of recommendations spanning each category.
The full strategic plan will be delivered approximately six weeks after the Resource Team visit.
