Serving up seafood and the perfect beach vibes since 1983

The Original Oyster House has been open for an impressive 42 years, since its grand opening in Gulf Shores back in ’83.

Longtime friends and business partners, Joe and Mary Lou Roszkowski and Jane and David Dekle got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build their dream: a place where all family and friends alike can enjoy some great seafood. Soon after, their business culminated into one of the most successful and longest-running seafood restaurants in South Alabama.

Now, the oyster house has been named the “best seafood restaurant in the state” and continues to be a familiar favorite in Spanish Fort, according to Cheapism.

“Since the ’80s, this seafood destination has been a celebration of Gulf cuisine. Come with a group and run as much of the menu as you can.”
