Montgomery wine lovers, this one’s for you. Looking for a new spot to pick up a bottle, grab a flight or enjoy a Chardonnay-fueled happy hour? We’ve got you covered.

1. TASTE is home to Montgomery wine flights

Pay TASTE a visit. (Rachel Arnone)

TASTE is the spot for excellent beverage choices and top-notch food. Our favorite part? The wine flights. That’s right—you can choose three 2 oz. pours of different wines so you can try several without committing to a full glass.

TASTE has won Wine Spectator Restaurant award for the past three years, so you know they’re doing something right.

Looking for a little entertainment with your vino? Don’t miss their live music on Fridays from 7-10PM. They also often host wine tastings and wine dinners. Sign us up!

2. But wait, there’s more…. check out Taste Too!

If you’re a fan of TASTE, there’s more where that came from. Taste Too! is TASTE’s sister restaurant located in Downtown Montgomery.

Home to delicious tapas and (of course) plenty of wine, it’s a staple on any Montgomery wine connoisseur’s list.

3. Montgomery wine lovers should visit Derk’s Filet and Vine

Filet and Vine has everything you need under one roof. The family-owned and operated spot has a deli, butcher shop and, of course, bottle shop.

According to their website, they have Montgomery’s largest wine selection and house over 15,000 bottles. So, it’s safe to say they’ll have nearly anything you’re looking for!

4. Provisions Cheese and Wine Shoppe is a Wetumpka wonderland

Provisions
A wide selection for wine (and cheese) lovers. (Provisions)

This veteran-owned storefront is over in Wetumpka, just about 15-20 minutes from Downtown Montgomery. It is a wonderland for lovers of wine, cheese and all things gourmet. They offer over 100 different cheeses daily and over 400 wines! If you needed another reason to stop by, listen to this… they told us they’re the only carrier of Leonidas Belgian chocolates in Alabama!

You can eat and drink on site in the relaxing lounge environment, or you can grab a bottle and charcuterie board to go. If you’re military or a first responder, be sure to ask about their specialty discounts.

5. Vintage Year

Head to Vintage Year for an upscale meal you won’t soon forget. They have been a Montgomery favorite since 1984, and are committed to offering the finest cuts of meat, incredible service and, of course, a phenomenal selection of wines.

That killer wine selection we mentioned? You don’t have to take our word for it—Vintage Year is a winner of Wine Spectator Magazine’s “Award of Excellence” for their wine selection.

What did we miss, Montgomery? Tell us your favorite wine spot @TheBamaBuzz.
