Springbrook Park reopens in Tuscaloosa with $1.7M upgrades

The City of Tuscaloosa + Elevate have been planning to improve Springbrook Park since September 2024.

Now reopened to the public, the new park features two playgrounds, a walking track, an emergency blue light + more.

On April 15, the City of Tuscaloosa held a ribbon-cutting to announce the reopening of the park.

It was funded by Elevate, a strategic investment plan to help uplift the city of Tuscaloosa through education, transportation, recreation + public safety.

What’s New

The park features a new walking track, where five laps equals a mile. The upgrades also include:

  • New lighting
  • Security
  • 2 playgrounds
  • Musical play equipment
  • Shaded seating areas

The new features total around $1.72 million.

The new park is located at 3101 Springbrook Circle, in the middle of District 7.
