STUNNING: See Alabama’s peach trees bloom in Chilton County [PHOTOS]
Reading time: 2 minutes
This week, Easterling’s Big Peach in Clanton, Alabama posted several photos of their peach orchards blooming—and it is stunning.
Kenyon Easterling told The Bama Buzz that the coming peach season looks good.
“It’s looking really good. There’s a heavy bloom crop. We just hope the weather cooperates with us. It just needs to stay seasonal. We don’t need temperature drops or cold snaps.”
Four generations of the Easterling family have been growing peaches since 1948.
Look for Big Peach Water Tower
Their roadside market, appropriately called Easterling Big Peach, is located at Exit 212 on I-65 right under the famous Big Peach Water Tower that supplies drinking water for the city of Clanton.
The market opens during peak season which is between “sometime” in May and “sometime” in August — 7 days a week from 9:00AM to 6:00PM.
Their market is full-service. Along with all kinds of peaches, they also sell:
- Plums
- Ice cream
- Jams
- Jellies
- Tomatoes
- Squash
- Zucchini
The market is at 2675 Lay Dam Road, Clanton Alabama 35045
