Survey says: Najee Harris, former Alabama running back, set to appear on Celebrity Family Feud
A duo we never knew we needed: Najee Harris and Steve Harvey. Najee recently announced via a three minute and thirty second video on his Instagram that he and his family will be competing on popular TV show, Celebrity Family Feud. Want to see when he’ll be competing for another title? Here’s what you need to know.
His shining moment(s)
We all know that Najee Harris is good with an audience, but what will the survey say? Along with Kansas City Chiefs running back, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Buffalo Bills wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, Harris will be facing off against his mother, maybe hinting at a potential Mother’s Day Special?
In years past, other NFL players have faced off against Hall of Famers, so it would make sense that a name like Najee Harris would get in on all the action. While there’s no set date for this episode to air, filming took place in early March in front of a live audience.
Far from a family feud
Many know Najee Harris’ story—growing up in Oakland, California and spending a majority of his childhood in a homeless shelter—but for those who are unfamiliar, here is the short story. Along with his mother, Tianna Hicks, and his four siblings, Harris faced adversity growing up in a low-income family. Through hard work and dedication, he was recruited by Coach Nick Saban to play for The University of Alabama running back in 2015.
Flash forward to his many successes at The University of Alabama—Harris gained popularity through his insane football talent and determination. After he was drafted as 24th overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft to the Pittsburgh Steelers, he rose to national popularity.
He’s also a giver. He has a reputation for giving back to his family and giving them the things that they never had growing up. Harris has made generous donations to the shelter where his family used to stay, not by donating a lump sum of cash, but making intentional changes like the colors of the floors or the paint on the walls.
We’ll be rooting for him as he takes on his newest adventure—a game show. Team “players” or team “moms” is the real question here.
