The Downtown Grill officially reopened to the public last week after being closed for over a year following a devastating fire. Keep reading for more details on the opening.

Back in business

The restaurant’s owners Justin and Sara Lee joined their staff, representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Cullman Savings Bank at the ribbon cutting ceremony on October 3. Many members of the community came out to show their support.

Not only did The Downton Grill reopen in its original location, but they also expanded next door creating an entire bar area and a full seating area for the restaurant.

“It has been just over a year since our building caught fire and every day has been filled with endless hard work and dedication to get us to this day. It has been our dream to expand and grow our business, allowing us to better serve our customers and community.

Instead of letting the devastation we experienced last year set us back, we decided to push forward in making those dreams into a reality. We would not have been able to do it without all of the well-wishes and help from our customers, community, family and friends.”
