TJ Maxx coming to Wetumpka to open its 28th Alabama location

TJ Maxx, the popular off-price retailer, is coming to Wetumpka.
The City of Wetumpka announced in late August that TJ Maxx will reside at Toulouse Village Shopping Center, located at 5266 U.S. Highway 231.
“This is an exciting addition to Toulouse Village and a great benefit for our residents. Retail growth like this strengthens our local economy, creates jobs, and enhances the shopping experience in our city.”
Wetumpka Mayor Jerry Willis
The city’s Economic Development Director Lynn Weldon added:
“This is something our community has been asking for. TJ Maxx is a big box retailer that complements our local boutiques and specialty shops. Their presence helps keep shopping dollars right here in Wetumpka and Elmore County.”
The retailer with cult-like following offers the following items:
- Brand-name fashion
- Home décor
- Gourmet foods
According to the town, preparations for Tj Mazz are underway and construction on the store will be happening soon. Further details about the opening will be announced as they become available.
The new store will be the 28th TJ Maxx location in the state of Alabama.
