The Trojans reached new heights during the 2024 campaign with a No. 21 national ranking, its first national ranking since the 2013 season.

Over the last three seasons under coach Skylar Meade, the Trojans have racked up 109 wins and made one NCAA Tournament appearance. It’s the most wins in the first three seasons for any Troy head coach.

But the ranking is not just about what Troy has done in the past. It’s also about what they have returning to the diamond.

Junior Brooks Bryan enters the season among the nation’s top MLB Draft prospects as the catcher hit 18 home runs and set a new program record with 85 RBIs in 2024. The Trojans also return the 2023 Sun Belt Player of the Year Shane Lewis, who has 32 home runs during his two seasons in the cardinal & white.

On the mound, the Trojans bring back veterans Garrett Gainous and Grayson Stewart, who both rank in the top ten in program history in strikeouts along with Luke Lyon who was an All-Sun Belt Second Team selection a season ago.

Troy attacked the transfer portal during the offseason as well, making additions that include:

  • OF Steven Meier, Old Dominion
  • IF Blake Cavill, Western Kentucky
  • IF Gavin Schrader, Niagra
  • P Noah Edders, Bradley
  • P Adam Falinksi, Eastern Michigan
  • P Drew Nelson, Auburn
  • P Colby Frieda, Kentucky

Troy enters the 2025 season as the top-ranked team in the Sun Belt Conference. The No. 25 Trojans will open its season at Riddle-Pace Field Feb. 14-16 with a three-game series against Bellarmine.
