The Alabama Birding Trail is expanding, and adding to its amazing list of birding locations. The Troy University Arboretum was recently added to the trail just in time for spring.
Here’s what to know about the the Troy University Arboretum:
Alabama Birding Trail adds Troy University Arboretum
The Troy University Arboretum works to preserve representative members, communities, and habitats of the Wiregrass region of Southeast Alabama on its 75-acre adjacent to Troy University’s main campus.
The arboretum features more than eight miles of dirt walking trails showcasing a variety of Alabama fauna and the wildlife it hosts. Trails include boardwalks and steps in areas with difficult terrain.
The Forest Resource Educational Complex has a wooden deck that overlooks Mullis Pond as well as bleachers and wooden benches surrounding the building.
