Zillow and Rover have teamed up to determine the top 20 cities attracting dog owners and it’s no surprise that Tuscaloosa made the list alongside other booming cities like Charleston, Denver and Chicago. With plenty of dog friendly restaurants, trails and parks, Tuscaloosa is the perfect place for dog parents!

According to PR Newswire, pet ownership has soared since the pandemic and 72% of pet owners say it is important to live in a pet friendly area. Zillow home trend expert Amanda Pendleton says that “More renters now report owning at least one pet, compared to 2020. Like recent movers on the whole, they appear to be seeking out more space and relative affordability in places where they can get a fenced backyard or room for a doghouse.” Luckily, Tuscaloosa has plenty of places that will happily welcome your pups.
