Whether you’re a student, alumni or visitor, tailgating at the University of Alabama is an essential part of game day. With the highly-anticipated Texas game right around the corner, here is a UA checklist of where to go and what to order for a fun pregame.

1. Mimosas at Rama Jama’s

Start your game day with a little OJ and Prosecco at Rama Jama’s. This traditional Tuscaloosa restaurant is located conveniently near Bryant-Denny Stadium and also includes a full breakfast menu.

2. Yellowhammers at Gallettes

Gallettes is famous for its Yellowhammers: a sweet, refreshing mix of coconut rum, pineapple juice and orange juice. Open early on game days, this bar is the first on the Strip and includes an outdoor patio with seating.

3. Hurricanes at Buffalo Phils

Right down the street from Gallettes is Buffalo Phils. This casual, kid-friendly restaurant is my favorite place to get chicken wings and bar food. If you’re like me, you’ll need the fuel for the long, exciting game day ahead. The hurricanes here are incredible and strong!

4. Michelo Ultras at Houndstooth

This traditional game day bar is a T-town favorite. Enjoy a beer (or two or three) with your friends before heading to the game. Plus, Houndstooth has flat screen TVs both inside and out if you want to stay and watch the game.

5. Frozen drinks at Rabbit Hole

This fun Alice in Wonderland-themed bar often features live music on game days. With a huge selection of frozen drink flavors, including cotton candy, cherry limeade and blue raspberry, you won’t be disappointed!

6. Seltzers on the Quad

Tailgating on the Quad is must for game day. Pack your drink of choice (I usually bring a High Noon or Truly), party hard and cheer on the Tide!
