HBCU Classic
This is the fourth annual HBCU Classic in partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA). It will be the first time a school from Alabama will play in the event.
The college game will fall on Saturday, which is often the most attended day of the all-star weekend. After the HBCU Classic, Saturday will also feature the skills competition, the 3-point contest and the dunk contest.
“Playing in the Bay Area is a tremendous honor for our student-athletes and university, and we are thankful to the NBA and its partners for making this event possible. This experience will provide our university and student-athletes with invaluable exposure and memories that will last a lifetime. We look forward to showing the talent of the SIAC to such a large audience.”
~ Reginald Ruffin, Tuskegee Director of Athletics
“We are thrilled to have Morehouse College and Tuskegee University compete in the fourth NBA HBCU Classic during NBA All-Star 2025. We look forward to both programs showcasing their talents during the game, as well as celebrating HBCU culture as part of our All-Star festivities.”

Tuskegee men’s basketball
Tuskegee started the season with four straight losses but the Golden Tigers have turned things around, evening their record at 6-6 entering Monday night’s game. The team is 4-2 in conference play, sitting in second place in the West division.
The Tigers have six total SIAC championships to their name but they have not won one since 2014.
