University of Alabama students recognized at Fulbright Student Awards

For the sixth time in eight years, The University of Alabama has been recognized as a Top Producing Institution for Fulbright U.S. Student Awards.15 students received Fulbright Award offers in this year’s national competition. Fulbright U.S. Student Program

In partnership with more than 140 countries worldwide, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers academic opportunities to college seniors, graduate students and young professionals. While pursuing graduate study, conducting research or teaching English abroad, participants work, live with and learn from people of the host country. This program facilitates cultural exchange through classroom, workforce and home interactions. Fulbright is a highly competitive program that selects approximately 1,500 award recipients from over 11,000 applicants each year.
