The Third Saturday in October is almost here and while both Alabama + Tennessee still have another game to play before they meet each other, many eyes are already on Tuscaloosa for what’s expected to be a top-15 showdown at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
With the Iron Bowl being on the road this season, this is certainly the most anticipated home matchup of the season for Alabama and its fans. Here’s what you need to know:

And if you’re hoping to be a part of the cigar-smoke-filled stadium as a part of the big rivalry weekend, you may need to be ready break your normal gameday budget.
What’s it going to cost?
The ticket resale market is skyrocketing for the annual rivalry game and if both teams win again this weekend, prices may go even higher.

But it’s not just getting into the stadium that becomes more expensive for a game like this. You can expect higher covers for bars along The Strip and in downtown.
Rates on nearby Airbnb’s are also up. Of 16 properties currently listed on Airbnb within Tuscaloosa city limits, the average price for a Friday night stay is $1,490 + the average price for Saturday night is currently $1,683.
You should also expect some long wait times for your favorite gameday bars and restaurants.
Third Saturday in October
Alabama leads the all-time rivalry series 59-40-7 but Tennessee has won two of the last three meetings, following a 15-game winning streak from the Crimson Tide during the Nick Saban era.
Kalen DeBoer lost his debut in the rivalry in Knoxville last season but he’ll have the home crowd behind him this time around. Alabama has not lost to Tennessee in Tuscaloosa since 2003.
