Did you spot any familiar sights and scenes in the newest trailer for The Life of Chuck? Scheduled for release in theaters on Friday, June 6, The Life of Chuck was filmed in several locations across south Alabama and features a star-studded cast, including Marvel star Tom Hiddleston.

In March, American independent film production and distribution company Neon dropped the first teaser trailer for The Life of Chuck, a new adaptation of Stephen King’s 2020 novella of the same name. The ~minute-long teaser featured a section of Downtown OWA, including the Alvin’s Island tropical store.

Starring Tom Hiddleston as Chuck Krantz, The Life of Chuck follows the eponymous protagonist through three distinctive chapters of his life, shown in reverse order. Hiddleston is supported by a star-studded cast in supporting roles, including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Jacob Tremblay and Mark Hamill.

Here are a few fun facts about The Life of Chuck:

  • The film was written and directed by Mike Flanagan, the filmmaker behind Netflix’s popular The Haunting of Hill HouseThe Haunting of Bly Manor and others.
  • Several scenes in the movie were filmed in south Alabama, including the cities of Mobile, Fairhope, Daphne, Bay Minette, Spanish Fort and Foley.

Although The Life of Chuck is not yet in theatres (you’ll have to wait until June 6th), the film made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024, where it won the People’s Choice Award.
