Week of events scheduled for 70th anniversary of Montgomery Bus Boycott

At 6:06PM on Dec. 1, it will be exactly 70 years since Rosa Parks took her seat on a Montgomery bus, sparking a boycott that would receive national attention + be a major event during the Civil Rights Movement.
This week, the city of Montgomery will host several events to commemorate the historic event.

- December 1: Unity March, Ecumenical Service, Rosa Parks Day at the Museum
- December 4: Film Premiere: The Skin You’re In at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre
- December 5: Mass Meeting Commemoration
- December 6: Rosa Parks & Ella Baker Youth Call to Action Summit + Rosa Parks Gala
Between now and Friday, Dec. 5, the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery is offering free admission.
