The 2026 SEC Media Days has officially wrapped up in Tampa but it couldn’t come to a conclusion until media members casted their votes for SEC preseason poll and all-conference teams.

Alabama is looking to take another step forward in Kalen DeBoer’s third season while Auburn is hoping new coach Alex Golesh can get the program back in the right direction.

Georgia takes top spot in SEC Media preseason poll

It was easy to predict the top two of the SEC preseason rankings, it was just a matter of which team would take the top spot.

That nod went to reigning SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs, who earned No. 1 by less than 100 poll points over Texas.

Here’s the final preseason poll from the 166 voting members along with each team’s total poll points and first-place votes in parentheses:

This is the lowest both Alabama and Auburn have been in the preseason poll since the conference removed divisions.

Alabama’s three first-place votes were the team’s lowest since 2009.
