Attention all Bikers and Rock fans: Southern Sturgis Bike Week is here! Muscle Shoals is the birthplace of Southern Rock thanks to the influence that FAME Recording Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio had on the Rock N’ Roll music genre in the South. Southern Sturgis Bike Week highlights and celebrates all things rock and all things that reminds us of the true south that many of us love. So, let’s take a look at what the action-packed Bike Week will entail!
The Background behind Southern Sturgis
Southern Sturgis is an exhilarating bike rally being brought to the Shoals by Homeless Warriors Charity for a week-long celebration. Not only is the event fundraising for homeless Veteran’s, but it’s bringing a kickin’ Rock N’ Roll festival to the Muscle Shoals area. Given that Muscle Shoals has honorable history and remarkable impacts in the music world, especially Blues and Rock, it’s a must that a festival like this one be brought here.
What to Expect
You can expect A LOT — to say the least. The event lasts all of 5 days, so there’s endless amount of festivities to fill your week up with. Be prepared for speedy bike races, tent camping, horseback riding, tasty barbecue, cold beer and the most exciting part of it all, rock concerts! Southern Rock Woodstock is bringing over 13 bands to rock the stage over the course of 2 days during the bike week. Some of those bands include:
- Indianhead, Southern Hard/Rock Metal Band
- Blacktop Ridge , Southern Rock Band from Tupelo

How to Attend
Ready to have an awesome time? Here’s all the details you need to know for the Southern Sturgis Bike Week:
- Dates: Monday, September 13 – Saturday, September 18 (Friday and Saturday are classified as the ‘Main Event’ as concerts will be both days)
- Tent Camping : 20×20 4 person max. per tent site. Sites available M-F while they last
- Location: Mulberry Creek Camp 2903 Mulberry Lane Cherokee, Alabama
- Concerts: Concerts start on Friday and Saturday at 1pm- 11pm
