Mardi Gras season is here, and cities across Alabama are getting ready to celebrate with parades, beads and festive traditions.
While Mobile is known as the birthplace of Mardi Gras in the U.S., cities across the state host their own parades each year, offering plenty of ways to join in on the fun outside of Mobile.

North Alabama
Mardi Gras in North Alabama isn’t all beads and big crowds like the coast, but it’s full of hometown energy and community traditions.
