Y’all means all around here. June is Pride Month and there are several fun events taking place across the state to celebrate. Read on and mark your calendars for one near you.
1. Pride on the Plains | Opelika | May 30-June 4
Pride on the Plains is organizing a week of exciting Pride celebrations in Auburn from May 30-June 4, concluding with the family-friendly 2023 PrideFest! Check out their 2023 Pride Guide for all you need to know about the fest and explore what’s going on all week long.

2. Central Alabama Pride | Birmingham | June 1-11
Celebrating 45 years of Central Alabama Pride, this year’s festival is one you don’t want to miss. From a Pride Picnic to Pride Bingo and a Bham Big Gay History Bus Tour—you’ll enjoy a full week of events for all ages, concluding with Pridefest and the Pridefest After Party on Sunday, June 11. 3. Rocket City Pride 2023 + Equality March | Huntsville | June 3-10
From family-friendly bowling nights to drag shows, painting events and more, Rocket City Pride is supporting a variety of Pride events around Huntsville. 4. Pride at Juniper | Birmingham | June 3
Put your glasses up for amazing drink specials, Lady Bird tacos, a live DJ, drag performances and more at the Juniper Pride celebration in Birmingham. All proceeds will go to the Magic City Acceptance Center. Trust us, if you haven’t seen this picturesque bar in person, you’ll want to plan your visit.

5. Pride on the Patio | Mobile | June 4
Stop by Oyster City Brewing Company in Mobile on June 4 for drag performances, a patio parade, dance party and local vendors. Plus, $1 from every pint sold of the Solidarity Sour Beer Release will go towards Prism United.

6. River City Pride Festival | Decatur | June 4
Become a part of the FIRST Pride festival for Decatur and enjoy a day full of delicious local food trucks, exciting live music, vendors to shop and more. Bring a blanket for a picnic, play some games and remember to sign the flag to memorialize this historic event. This is a day to gather and celebrate Pride.

7. June LODA ArtWalk | Mobile | June 9
The City of Mobile hosts a monthly celebration of the arts—Loda Artwalk. You’ll support local, listen to musical performers and browse talented artists and vendors that exhibit and sell their work.

8. Pride at Big Brick Market | Brundidge | June 10
Celebrate Pride at Big Brick Market with Prism Counseling & Community Services. This free, all inclusive event will have food trucks, vendors, face painting, networking, mom hugs, drag shows, prizes and more all day long.

9. Pride Brunch at The Camp | Huntsville | June 10
Head to The Camp in Huntsville for a delicious brunch with incredible performers, food, music and fun.

10. Cypress Creek Pickup and Paddle with Pride | Florence | June 10
Show your pride and join Keep the Shoals Beautiful and Shoals Diversity Center for the Cypress Cree Pickup and Paddle. They provide the cleanup supplies you’ll need to pickup litter as you paddle down the creek. All you need to do is bring your paddle equipment to the launch and check in anytime in the morning. Free shuttles are offered at the launch point and creek-side cleanups are available at the same time.

11. Montgomery Black Pride | Montgomery | June 15-17
For a weekend of learning, building community and of course, fun celebrations, join in on Montgomery Black Pride. The weekend is hosted by The Knights and Orchids (TKO), the first and only AIDS Service Organization (ASO) and STD/STI clinic in the state of Alabama founded and led by Black Trans and LGBQ people.

12. Alabama Trans Pride 2023 – June 17
Celebrate Trans Pride in North Alabama loud and proud with this free, family-friendly event to connect with the community, share your Trans joy and find resources you may not have known existed. Friends, family and allies are welcome to join the party.

13. Pride Month Drag Brunch | Mobile | June 17
POST in Mobile is ready to party with their Pride Drag Brunch celebration on June 17. Tickets include a buffet brunch, mimosas and a drag show. Guests are encouraged to bring cash to show support and appreciation for the queens performing.

14. Pride night at MELT | Huntsville | June 7
Help raise funds for Rocket City Pride (RCP) while having a great time at this fun night of food and festivities at Melt in Hunstville. A portion of the evening’s sales will go towards RCP’s mission to uplift Huntsville’s LGBTQIA+ community.

15. Proud South 2023 | Montgomery | June 24-25
Join the 2nd Annual Proud South festival for the ultimate dance party and display of pride. This is an event to spread love and acceptance to all. A variety of DJs will be keeping the tunes going on two stages, including a Silent Disco. Plus, there will be live painters, exciting collaborative events and Mistress of Ceremonies Chloe Von Trapp will be illuminating the night.

16. Pride Brunch Straight to Ale | Huntsville | June 25

17. Trek Tuscaloosa Pride Ride | Tuscaloosa | June 25
Celebrate Pride on two wheels at the Trek Tuscaloosa Pride Ride, everyone from all experience levels is welcome on this casual bike ride. Tasty snacks, drinks and free goodies for you and your bike will be provided while supplies last. Helmets are required and lights and hydration are recommended.
