2025 A-Day provides new format, same excitement
Reading time: 2 minutes

The spring tradition of A-Day is a favorite for Bama fans.
With the Walk of Fame induction, autographs, and even just a Denny dog, A-Day reminds us how excited we should get for the next football season.
This year, the University decided to try out a different format for the day and while it resulted in a smaller crowd, the fans in attendance had the same excitement. Read below for more details.
New A-Day format

Usually, A-Day involves the team playing against each other. But this year, the team tried a different layout.
The players had a full spring practice instead. They wore padded helmets + ran plays but no score was kept.
Fans were still able to get into Bryant-Denny Stadium for free to watch the practice. Concessions + merch were also being sold like a usual gameday.
Walk of Fame Induction

Alabama football captains have been making their mark on the Walk of Fame since 1947.
The 2024 captains included:
- Tyler Booker
- Deontae Lawson
- Malachi Moore
- Jalen Milroe
The Tide continued the tradition Saturday as each player gave a short speech on why football + the fanbase are so important to them, ending with a “Roll Tide!” They put their marks into the concrete in front of Denny Chimes to wrap up the ceremony.
Champions Lane

Champions Lane + The Walk of Champions had events after the induction. Fans lined the Walk of Champions, waiting for players to sign anything.
There were also many Tuscaloosa vendors + a live DJ. Fans cheered on the team as they walked into Bryant Denny Stadium.
