1. Old Majestic Brewing Co.

Old Majestic is the perfect traditional brewery experience. They’ve got new beers released every week or so, making it hard to pick a “best-seller”, but this week’s big-seller is the Mumbai Blurry Curry, a cream ale served over a peach-lime purée.

  • Most Popular Beer: Changes every week! Their beer menu is constantly changing, so too is the most popular one!
  • What to expect: a lively crowd watching sports & playing corn hole! Plus live music on weekends.
  • Hours: Mon-Wed: 4 p.m.-9 p.m.; Thurs: 3 p.m.-10 p.m.; Fri: 3 p.m.-11 p.m.; Sat: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; Sun: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Address: 656 St. Louis Street, Mobile, AL, 36602

Braided River Brewing is actually releasing a new beer today, making it the perfect time to go visit! The new beer is called “Fall’s Fall” and perfectly encapsulates the fall spirit, trust me, we got to try it! Braided River is one of those staple breweries, with their most popular being the “Hoppy by Nature” which is fresh and light for an IPA.

  • Most popular beer: Hoppy by Nature
  • What to expect: laid-back casual atmosphere where you feel right at home!
  • Hours: Closed Mon; Tues-Thurs: 4 p.m.-9 p.m.; Fri: 3 p.m.-10 p.m.; Sat: 12 p.m.-10 p.m.; Sun: 12 p.m.-6 p.m.

3. Iron Hand Brewing

Iron Hand Brewing combines a few of my favorite things: historic buildings, great beer, and good conversation! The brewery is housed in an old Baptist Church that’s since been refurbished into a fun gathering spot and brewery, hosting Dad Joke Bingo on Wednesdays, Trivia Thursdays, and All-Day Happy Hour on Sunday.

  • Most popular beer: Rebecca’s First Amber Ale
  • What to expect: A relaxing, homey group including cushy couches and board games abound.
  • Hours: Closed Mon & Tues; Wed & Thurs: 4 p.m.-9 p.m; Fri & Sat: 11 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sun: 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
  • Address: 206 State Street, Mobile, AL, 36602
