1. Wildflowers & Fresh Food – Mentone
Designed for all ages and serving the Mentone and Lookout Mountain areas of Alabama, Wildflowers & Fresh Food puts a unique spin on the typical cooking class.
I spoke to the owner, Kristin Alpine, about bringing Wildflowers & Fresh Food to life.
“I was having friends over for dinner one night and it sort of became a standing thing.
A few of them asked to come over and learn how to cook with me, and I said, ‘Oh that’d be really fun.'”
Kristin Alpine, Owner, Wildflowers & Fresh Food
Kristin now brings her classes and dinner parties across Alabama, Tennessee and anywhere in between.
“I’ve taken cooking classes all over the world but I’m self-trained.
My goal is to not be super sophisticated or high-end; I want classes to be available to everyone.
For so many people, cooking is a chore. I want to make it a way to treat yourself with a multi-sensory experience with lots of scents and colors.”
Kristin Alpine, Owner, Wildflowers & Fresh Food
