Pastas. Soups. Steak and potatoes. These places have all of your favorite cold-weather comfort foods with a cozy atmosphere to go with it. Here are five incredible restaurants to try this winter in Tuscaloosa.

1. DePalma’s

DePalma’s is my all-time favorite Italian restaurant. Featuring amazing appetizers and salads, (I recommend the breadsticks and Caesar), daily lasagnas and delish deserts (the bread pudding is to die for!), you will not be disappointed.

2. Evangeline’s

If you’re looking for somewhere ambient to spend your evening, look no further than Evangeline’s. This upscale Tuscaloosa restaurant is a glamorous dinning experience with seasonal cocktails and a gourmet menu. You’re in for a treat.

3. River

With steaks, salads and shrimp and grits, River serves the perfect cold weather foods. You can enjoy this riverfront restaurant for brunch, lunch and dinner.

4. Thai Basil Sushi

Serving delish soups, fresh sushi and ample veggies, Thai Basil Sushi is the ultimate winter restaurant destination. I recommend the coconut tofu soup and submarine roll!

5. Central Mesa

Warm Mexican food is always wonderful on a cold day, and Central Mesa has some of the best Tex-Mex food in town. My go-to is the Chorizo Queso and street tacos.
