It’s the season for giving and that means it’s time to shop. There’s nowhere better to get all of your holiday shopping out of the way than a Christmas market. Full of adorable decorations, delicious treats and handmade goods that make the perfect present, they are a must-visit this season. So, we’re bringing you five of the best Christmas markets in North Alabama to get you into the holiday spirit.
1. Christkindl Market—Cullman
Christmas season in Cullman feels straight out of a holiday film with all of the fun events happening throughout the season. Something you can’t miss is their incredible Christmas event, Christkindl Market. This is a traditional German Christmas market complete with a 75-ft tall Christmas tree, meet-and-greet with Santa and over twenty different vendors.
Visitors can browse handmade ornaments and unique gifts while enjoying tasty treats including some traditional European Christmas market options.
You’ll also get to see the largest German pyramid, standing at 30-ft tall. Don’t know what a German pyramid is? We recommend going to see it for yourself—it’s pretty cool.

2. Yule Y’all—Huntsville
The Yule Y’all is an outdoor market happening at Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment in Huntsville. It will feature work by local artists, holiday creations, food, music and drinks.
Enjoy a nice winter stroll through the Lowe Mill grounds and newly decorated halls. Samplings of local spirits will be available on-site while supplies last to keep you warm as you explore.
Stick around until 5PM for the lighting of the water tower and check out the beautifully decorated windows sure to put you in the Christmas spirit.

3. Winter Solstice Market—Huntsville
Another event at Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment in Huntsville, the Winter Solstice Market is full of beautiful art, candles, sweets and more for the last-minute shopper. You’ll find the perfect gifts for family and friends, and maybe even a little something for yourself.

4. Homestead Hollow Christmas in the Country—Springville
Feel like you’ve traveled back in time at Homestead Hollow’s Christmas in the Country event. This is a unique arts and crafts festival in a pioneer setting. At this North Alabama Christmas market, you can admire demonstrations of blacksmithing, soap making, wood carving, weaving, open-hearth cooking and candle making.
There will also be live entertainment, activities for the kids and some delicious food to try, so don’t miss out on this market!

The Totally Christmas Fair is a huge event in Trussville with over 100 vendors to explore. Discover handmade items from jewelry to paintings to baked goods. Santa will also be there for the kids!
